The Freeborn Reserve is a joint venture of:

  • the Pilchuck (Stanwood Camano) Learning Center, a WA State nonprofit
  • Freeborn (Lutheran) Church, also a WA State nonprofitLogo-BGG

focusing on topics no longer taught (or difficult to teach) in today’s schools* in an outdoor laboratory leaning center setting where students sense: hear, touch, and see Nature.  It is a place for reflection, where some allow God to touch their hearts.  And it is intended to be a gift to the next generation.

*a scholarship fund for the cost of field trip buses exists.  The latest taking advantage of these funds was Cedarcrest Middle School of Marysville.
